The energy is calming and welcoming. Melodie is a doll. Charming, knowledgeable and a great person to have a conversation with. The establishment is cute. I love the variety of teas and gifts. I recommend 100%

I visited Steep Right Up today after searching for tea shops in the area, and this cozy little tea shop was absolutely fantastic. The owner, Melody, was incredibly welcoming, patient, and knowledgeable. She took the time to walk me through their entire tea lineup, listened to the types of teas I already enjoy, and offered thoughtful recommendations based on that. There’s a wide variety of teas available to sample, and she will happily brew any tea in the shop, which made the experience feel very personal and relaxed. I ended up bringing home a lovely shou pu-erh and several other teas that I can’t wait to try. I also appreciated that each tea comes with clear brewing instructions, including water temperature and steeping guidance, plus a general tea-brewing guide. Five stars—this shop was absolutely worth the trip from Raleigh to downtown Garner. I’ll definitely be back!

Really enjoyed the shop. By serendipity, me and my friend wandered into the store close to when a tea tasting and tea reading event were starting. We got to enjoy four different tea blends, learn about the teas, about the art of tea reading, and get assistance in reading our own tea leaves. It was really well thought out and fun event, and you can tell that they put a lot of thought and love into their tea offerings.

We attended the Mother’s Day Tea by Steep Right Up and it was wonderful! The food and tea was delicious and the atmosphere was relaxed but elegant. Can’t wait to attend another event!

Loooove this place! Tried to get “the same thing” in two different brands at Whole Foods and it was not the same… I drove out of my way to come back and get this instead! The mind & body calm tisane is delicious and calming and I actually look forward to drinking it at night. Highly recommend! Backstory - I’ve always hated even the smell of tea, but my doctor really wants me to start drinking it. I found this place by accident, when we were next door at a bakery. The tea lady is incredible— she’s the nicest woman and is SO helpful and personable. She helped me figure out the right blend, explained how to brew it, and answered all my questions. So awesome!
